About me and Ciao Gluten Free

Welcome! I’m an Italian American who’s lived the best of both worlds, spending 12 transformative years in Italy, where I embraced the depth, tradition, and passion of Italian cuisine. As a dual citizen married to a Tuscan, my connection to Italian culture is rooted not only in heritage but in my own family’s everyday life. For us, food is not just nourishment—it’s a way of preserving history, expressing love, and celebrating moments together.

My culinary journey took a unique turn when my son was diagnosed with food allergies, including a wheat allergy. Determined that he would experience all the richness of Italian food, I dedicated two years to refining my recipes so that he never felt deprived of our traditions. My daughter, who spent the first three years of her life in Italy, also deserved to feel the fullness of her heritage. I wanted her to grow up savoring Italian classics, and I needed to make them accessible for our whole family, regardless of dietary needs.

In my kitchen, I’ve perfected these beloved recipes to be gluten-free, without sacrificing the authentic taste and spirit of Italy. Each dish is crafted with ingredients readily available in American markets, bridging the flavors of Italy with the resources here. Whether you’re looking for authentic Italian recipes adapted for food allergies or a taste of Italian tradition you can recreate at home, I’m here to share my journey with you.

Buon Appetito!
